Join CBMM’s Director of Education Kate Livie for a discussion of the creation and content of her new book, Chesapeake Oysters: The Bay’s Foundation and Future. Chesapeake Oysters explores the history, culture, and future of the Bay’s beloved bivalve, from the oyster middens of the Chesapeake Indians to modern boutique oyster farms raising sustainable shellfish. Kate will be giving a presentation and reading of her new book, followed by a book signing.
