Our guided tours explore the rich heritage and culture of the Chesapeake Bay. Visitors learn how this estuary has shaped the lives of its inhabitants from early Native Americans to today's Chesapeake residents. Find out why the Chesapeake Bay plays an important role in our nation's story through our interactive, educationally rich exhibits. Discover through stories and oral histories how the Bay provided an avenue for trade, a plentiful food source for a growing country, a site for the fight for independence, as well as a popular recreation destination.
