ALL Member Event “Sip and Learn”
Wednesday, February 24 from 4-6pm
$25 per person, Ouvert Gallery, 207 S. Talbot Street, St. Michaels, MD

As a special treat, we’re hosting an exclusive wine event for current ALL members only. This “sip and learn” theme will be “Old World Wines” from France, Italy, and Spain. Pam Guedel from Monsieu Touton Selection Ltd and Patricia McGlannan of Tilghman Island Country Store will introduce us to six wines and some foods that bring out their best. You will be seated at tables for this tasting, and you’ll have room to take notes. Bottles will be available for purchase. Reservations are required to Allison Speight at 410-745-4941 or

Each semester, the Academy for Lifelong Learning’s course catalog features a cover photograph or artwork from an ALL member. We invite your submissions for future catalog covers. The final cover images will be featured on ALL’s website and Facebook page. We encourage your participation and look forward to acknowledging the talents of our membership. Please send us your work as an email attachment to Ann DeMart,

As with any volunteer organization, the success of our programs depends on the generosity of time given by our volunteers. If we are to continue to provide the outstanding courses, lectures and field trips we have been offering, we need YOU to consider volunteering for duty, particularly in one of the following areas:

Equipment facilitators: We need individuals who feel comfortable with technology to facilitate courses by setting up and breaking down necessary A/V equipment; training would be provided.

Marketing: We need another member of the marketing team to update and post to ALL’s Facebook page, write eNews, articles, and other communications.

Membership: We could use another creative mind to help plan and coordinate ALL membership events and gatherings.

Photographer: We need a skilled photographer who is willing and available to attend ALL events to photograph instructors, members, and happenings.

Contact Allison Speight at or 410-745-4941 if you are interested in volunteering.
