The Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) is a unique opportunity to enhance your life through learning both within and outside classroom environments. An academic cooperative run by members who volunteer their time and talents, ALL offers courses, group discussions, presentations, field trips, and social events conceived and conducted by members. The programs encompass a diverse range of topics, including ecology, literature, history, religion, science, current events, photography, philosophy, gardening, and more. Courses are held on the CBMM campus and at nearby locations.

The Museum and ALL follow the Talbot County Public School’s closings for inclement weather.

ALL membership is no longer required to participate in courses!
ALL membership offers you a discounted rate for all courses and can be purchased at the below prices.
CBMM members: $25 per person; $40 per couple.
Non-CBMM members: $30 per person; $50 per couple.

CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHS AND ART WORK
Each semester, the Academy for Lifelong Learning’s course catalog features a cover photograph or artwork from an ALL member. We invite your submissions for future catalog covers. The final cover images will be featured on ALL’s website and Facebook page. We encourage your participation and look forward to acknowledging the talents of our membership. Please send us your work as an email attachment to Ann DeMart, email@example.com.
HELP WANTED: CLASS FACILITATOR OPPORTUNITY!
As with any volunteer organization, the success of our programs depends on the generosity of time given by our volunteers. With your volunteer support, we will continue to offer the wonderful array of programs that make ALL so much a part of the intellectual and social fabric of our community.
Equipment facilitators: Are you comfortable with technology and willing to help set up and break down necessary A/V equipment for courses? Training will be provided!
Marketing: We need contributors to ALL’s Facebook posts, newsletter articles, and other publicity. Please share your stories from your ALL programs, as well as any ideas for articles and other ways to promote ALL.
Membership: Do you enjoy planning parties? We could use another creative mind to help plan and coordinate ALL membership events and gatherings.
Photographer: We’d love to share your photos from field trips and courses in our newsletters. Please send them in (as high resolution as possible, please).
