Lighthouse Overnight Program
Can
You Keep the Light Burning?
At the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum's hands-on Lighthouse Overnight
Program, your group can discover the exciting challenges and adventures
of a 19th century Keeper's life as they tended their station in
the middle of the Bay. Whether climbing the sea hatch, tending the
huge lens, or standing watch on the lookout for ships or fog, participants
will experience firsthand the solitary, often heroic lives of Hooper
Strait lighthouse keepers.
