Visiting Vessel: Nao Trinidad
November 4 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until November 5, 2023

CBMM welcomes the nao Trinidad, a replica of the flagship of the Magellan-Elcano expedition that led the first sailing around the world. Guests can purchase tickets to tour the four decks of this historic vessel.
The nao Trinidad set sail from Seville (Spain) on Aug. 10, 1519 at the head of a fleet of five ships. Upon reaching the Moluccas, the Trinidad sprang a leak. An attempt to return to Spain failed, forcing the ship to return to the Moluccas after six months at sea. The waiting Portuguese captured the crew and abandoned the ship.
Launched on March 11, 2018, this replica respects the original ship’s form and details. The height of the main mast is almost 82 feet from the waterline. Visit the vessel to learn more and hear from the experienced crew.
