The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum explores and preserves the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and makes this resource accessible to all. Our members and guests enjoy transformative experiences as they encounter Chesapeake Bay history firsthand through real people, real work, original artifacts and exhibitions, visual arts, and Chesapeake artifacts.

CBMM’s park-like waterfront setting includes numerous indoor and outdoor exhibitions, a working Shipyard, Museum Store, a floating fleet of historic vessels, member’s marina, and is easily reached by car or boat. Each time you experience the Bay with us, you’ll take away something new!
