The whiskey plank on 1920 Chesapeake Bay buyboat Winnie Estelle is officially in!
The latest update video on our working Shipyard‘s refit of the 106-year-old vessel highlights the installation of the whiskey plank, a traditional shipbuilding ceremony marking the completion of the vessel’s hull. Master Shipwright Jeff Reid shares the history and significance of this time-honored tradition and reflects on reaching this important milestone in the project.
