Rising Tide Holiday Gift Workshop: Cutting Edge Creations

Students in grades 6 to 9 are invited to join Rising Tide this December for the annual Gift Making Workshops. These workshops give students the opportunity to make a homemade gift for a family member, friend, or to keep for themselves! The Tuesday and Thursday workshops will be creating different projects, so sign up for one or both! Students must attend both sessions to complete their project.

The Cutting Edge Creations workshop will be held on back-to-back Thursdays on Dec. 4 and 11. We are also offering a Tuesday Illuminating Aluminum session on Dec. 2 and 9.

Transportation: Free transportation is available for students at St. Michaels Middle/High School and Easton Middle School. Transportation from other schools may be available by request. Each session takes place on the campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in the Education Workshop.

Appropriate clothing: Safety is our highest priority. Students are required to wear close-toed shoes in the shop. We provide safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust protection in the shop. We also recommend wearing clothes that are okay to get messy. Space is provided to change clothes, and students can leave work clothes at the shop if they attend classes regularly.

Weather: Rising Tide follows Talbot County Public School weather related closings. If school is closed or dismissed early, classes at CBMM will also be canceled.

Cost: The Rising Tide program is generously supported by CBMM’s donors. At registration, families may select the level of financial program support that would most benefit their family to ensure their child is able to participate in the program.
