Chesapeake Bay Week Film Festival: ‘Creatures of the Chesapeake’ Family Film Screening

Celebrate Chesapeake Bay Week with a special film festival, presented by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in collaboration with Maryland Public Television. Dive deep into the Bay’s rich history through the inspiring stories of the people who call it home. Throughout this special event, enjoy advanced screenings alongside panel discussions and expert talks, as this series promises to entertain, educate, and ignite your passion for this treasured waterway.
The Chesapeake Bay Week Film Festival begins Saturday, April 5, at 2pm, with a family-friendly showing of “Creatures of the Chesapeake.” Plunge beneath the brackish waters of the nation’s largest estuary and discover a diverse and vibrant ecosystem. This enchanting and fast-paced half-hour film offers an intimate look at some of the most fascinating species in the Chesapeake Bay and is a must-see for kids, adults, and anyone with an innate curiosity about life in the deep. After the film, get an up-close look at some Miles River oysters and the critters that live with them. This screening is free for CBMM members and general admission guests. Registration is recommended.
