(Dec. 13 update:A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined our Give Thanks Tuesday celebration! We are excited to share that we hit our $30,000 Giving Tuesday Challenge goal, unlocking the additional $30,000 match thanks to the generosity of several CBMM Board Members. We’re also excited to announce that John H. is the winner of our Give Thanks Tuesday drawing. John will get to design a custom bowtie for Pete to wear. Stay tuned to our social media channels to see him wearing this special creation! With your continued support, we look forward to creating many more opportunities for our community! Join CBMM’s celebration of Giving Tuesday from Dec. 3-10! This year, we’re calling it #GiveThanksTuesday because all week long we’re thanking YOU—our donors—who help us continue our mission to preserve and explore the Chesapeake Bay’s rich cultural heritage, and make this resource accessible to all, through hands-on education and boatbuilding programs, community partnerships, engaging exhibitions that highlight stories vital to our region’s past, present, and future, annual festivals that celebrate the way of life on the Bay, and much more.
CBMM’s Chief Historian Pete Lesher will be your guide as we visit different places and people on our waterfront campus to share how your support makes a difference and helps shape these unique Chesapeake stories. Want to double your impact this week? Your gift will be counted in our $30,000 Giving Tuesday Challenge! Every gift will be matched up to $30,000 thanks to the generosity of three CBMM Board Members. When we hit our goal, we will hold a random drawing to pick one #GiveThanksTuesday donor to design a custom bowtie for Pete to wear and share on social!
