Winnie Estelle Refit Update #19: Planking the Deck
In our latest update on the refit of 1920 Chesapeake Bay buyboat Winnie Estelle, Shipwright Daniel Gutierrez shares the process of planking the historic vessel’s deck and how his experience as an apprentice in our Shipyard planking skipjack Rosie Parks helped prepare him for this work.
Stay tuned for updates throughout the project and learn more about all that’s happening in the Shipyard at the next edition of Coffee & Wood Chipswith Vessel Conservation Manager Sam Hilgartner on Friday, Dec. 5, at 10am. This monthly program is free for CBMM members and $10 for non-members.
