More than 300 Talbot County Public Schools 8th graders joined us last week for the “Seeking Freedom” Field Trip. The students explored local history, learned about freedom seekers in the Chesapeake, created art, and experienced a day of hands-on learning outside the classroom with our educators and volunteers.

We loved welcoming these students to share these important stories told across campus, including a stop in our new special exhibition "Bear Me Into Freedom: The Talbot County of Frederick Douglass."

Thank you to Talbot County Public Schools and the Maryland 250 Commission for helping make this meaningful experience possible.
