Half-Hull Modeling Workshop
July 11 @ 9:00 am - July 13 @ 4:00 pm

By the end of CBMM’s Half-Hull Modeling Workshop, every student will walk away with a completed wood half-hull model they selected to carve.
Delve into the world of maritime history and craftsmanship with our three-day half-hull model workshop. For centuries, shipwrights and boatbuilders have relied on half-models to visualize and perfect their designs. Now, you can create your own model to adorn your home or give to a fellow boat enthusiast.
Led by guest instructor Tom Price, this course is appropriate for all experience levels. All materials and essential tools are provided. Advanced woodworkers may bring their preferred chisels and gouges. Join us for a rewarding experience that blends artistry, history, and hands-on creation!
Explore the Tradition:
- Discover the History: Immerse yourself in the rich tradition of half-model making.
- Admire the Masterpieces: Examine exquisite examples from the museum’s extensive collection.
