CBMM and the Museum Store are closed on Thanksgiving (Nov. 27), Christmas (Dec. 25), and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).

 

TICKETS

General admission is valid for two days (except for the day prior to a festival). When buying online, you can now purchase GA tickets for a specific date.

Adults (ages 18–64): $20

Seniors (ages 65+): $17

Students (ages 17+ with college ID): $17

Children (ages 6–17): $8

Children (ages 5 and under): Free

Retired Military (with ID): $16

Active Military: Free (See below for Blue Star Museum program info.)

For general admission, CBMM members are always admitted free.

Guided Tours

Combo tickets are now available for guests to enjoy CBMM general admission and a guided tour of CBMM’s campus.

A variety of guided tours are offered most weekends and holiday Mondays. All guided tours require general admission, with advanced reservations recommended. Tours and general admission are free for CBMM members. Head to our calendar to check the schedule and purchase tickets!

Patriot Cruises

Combo tickets are now available for guests to enjoy CBMM general admission and a Narrated Historical Cruise aboard PATRIOT.

Guests of all ages will delight in learning local history while experiencing breathtaking views on a 70-minute narrated cruise along the Miles River on a 65-foot, 149-passenger vessel built to resemble a traditional Chesapeake Bay steamboat. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Patriot Cruises online portal or day-of at CBMM’s Welcome Center or Patriot Cruises Ticketing at the South Entrance.

Historic Workboat Experience

Experience the unique working traditions of the Chesapeake on a 45-minute cruise aboard a historic boat in CBMM’s floating fleet. Try your hand at different tools and harvest techniques while learning about different fisheries, including oysters and blue crabs.
Historic Workboat Experience Cruises are available on most weekends and holiday Mondays from late May through October.

SPECIAL ADMISSION PROGRAMS

Show your same-day receipt of $20 or more from a St. Michaels merchant to receive a $3 discount on your two-day CBMM general admission! Includes restaurants, retailers, Patriot Cruises and lodging establishments within town limits.

Active-duty military members receive free year-round general admission. As a Blue Star Museum, CBMM provides free general admission to active-duty military, National Guard, and Reserve personnel, their spouse/partner, and up to three children from Armed Forces Day (the third Saturday in May) through Labor Day (the first Monday in September). All prices are subject to change.

CBMM is a Museums for All participant, which enables low-income families to visit for a minimal fee of $3 per person for up to four people with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and photo ID.

GROUP ADMISSION

Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more guests with advance reservations. Guided and self-guided tours are available for groups of all ages.

PHOTOS & VIDEO

CBMM welcomes your photographs and videos of CBMM, taken for personal use, and sharing and tagging CBMM through your social media avenues (find us at @chesapeakemaritime on Instagram, for example). Commercial photography is prohibited, unless prior, written permission from CBMM’s Communication’s Department has been made.

Drone use on CBMM’s property is prohibited, unless prior approval by CBMM is made. Please see the latest FAA requirements for operating a drone, which must first be met prior to any consideration, along with the ability to provide a certificate of insurance naming CBMM insured.

Please note: The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum frequently takes photographs of campus, that may include our guests, that are used to promote CBMM in a number of formats. Permission is implied by your visit to CBMM.
